It's that time of year again.  Fall time, class time for all of us.
This is the drill.

Beginner Knitting is in great demand so we are offering both a Wednesday evening and a Thursday evening session.  The Wednesday session begins Sept. 22nd, 29th, Oct. 6 & 13th, 2010 from 6:30 to 9:00pm and is $80.00 plus hst.
The Thursday session will run same hours from Sept. 23rd, 30th, Oct. 7th & 14th.
Limit of six persons.  Instructor is Margaret Duncan.

Beginner Weaving will run for 6 Mondays beginning Sept. 20th. 27th, Oct. 4th,
we could run one on Thanksgiving Monday or defer it to that Tuesday the 12th, Oct. 18th & 25th from 6:30 to 9:00pm.   Limit of four persons.  Loom is provided, fee is $295.00 plus hst.  Instructor is Lynn Landry-Rody.

Personal Footprints Sock Class will be 2 Saturdays - 10:00 to 12:30pm, 2 parts
Saturday Sept. 25th and Oct. 9th.  The fee is $40.00 plus hst.  Limit of six persons.
It is recommended that you purchase the book which is specific to this technique.
Instructor is Susan Lang.

Fair Isle Class will be a two half day workshop - 1:00 to 4:00pm.  $40.00 plus hst.
Saturday September 25th.  2nd date is Friday Oct 1st 7:00 to 9:30pm
Limit of six persons. Instructor is Margaret Duncan.

Two Socks on One Circular Needle class is a 3 part offering.  10:00 to 12:30 Saturday Oct. 2nd, 16th & 30th.  The fee is $60.00 plus hst.  Limit of six persons.
Instructor Susan Lang.

Knitted, Beaded Bracelet class, 2 parts.  $40.00 plus hst. 1:00 - 3:30pm 
Sat. Oct. 2 & 9th. Limit of 6 persons.   Instructor Margaret Duncan.

Basic Sock Knitting on Double Pointed Needles in 3 parts.  $60.00 plus hst.
10:00 to 12:30 Saturday Oct. 23rd, Nov. 6th & 20th.  Limit of six persons.  Instructor Susan Lang.

Please offer us suggestions for the Winter Session which will begin mid-January.

February 2010 Threadz News

Hello everyone,

I hope that you have recovered from the cold weather and are managing to stay upright while walking anywhere in town this winter.  I just focus on my feet!

I am pleased to announce that we are ready to offer another session of

"Knitting Two Socks on One Circular Needle" with instructor Susan Lang.  The class will begin this Saturday Feb. 13th and continue every other Saturday for a total of 3 sessions, this way you have time to get to the heel before you return for session 2 and then get close to the toe for the cast off on, session 3. The time on the 13th is 10 am and then the 27th at 1 p.m. and then March 13th, also at 1 p.m.  Class fee is $60.  You will need a 40" circular needle and two- 50 gm hanks of yarn.

Before Margaret heads to Florida the end of February, she is going to run a "Knit Clinic", for anyone who needs some assistance for a quandary that they have been dealing with and can't seem to unravel the mystery.  Does this sound like a plan?  It will happen Friday evening February  19th from 7 to 10 p.m.

I have put in 12 hour days all week to give the shop a new look.  Come check it out.  I have also just received another huge order of yarn and books.  Noro Kochoron, Kureyon, SIlk Garden and Kureyon sock yarn.  Superwash Aran weight merino, Baby Cashmerino dk, gorgeous kid-silk mohair lace weight in more colours. Lots more Galway, another 15 colours.  I have copies of "Knitting More Circles Around Socks" which demystifies knitting 2 socks on one Circular Needle, knitting from the toe up and from the cuff down, a great resource for all of you sock gurus.  I also have more Cat Bordhi titles.
