free pattern on Ravelry.com

Supplies needed:  2 - 100 gram hanks Louet Gems sport or lt. worsted wt. yarn

All samples shown have been knit with one main color and 5 contrast colours. The chart will show you when to change colours. You do not need to knit these in 6 colours, however. Two colours will do nicely! I can see these in black and white, subtle combinations like blue and grey, or a solid main color with a self-striping contrast yarn.

This pattern requires light worsted weight  yarn for the outer mitten. You will use approx. 125 yards of MC and 40 yards each of 5 CCs. Count on using approx. 140 yards of sport wt.  for the lining yarn, as well. Choose a mohair blend yarn for optimal warmth and sturdiness.

NEEDLES: 3.25 (3.5, 3.75) mm, or size needed to get gauge. Pattern may be knit on double points, a long circular for magic loop, or on 2 circulars.

NOTIONS: stitch marker, waste yarn, tapestry needle

Supplies needed:  100 gms Galway wool & 50 gms Noro Kureyon or Silk Garden,

4.0 mm circular needle and dpn's.

Personal Footprint Sock
3 sessions $69.00 Sat. Jan. 21, Feb. 4th & 18th, 2012

10:00 - 12:30 pm
Instructor:  Susan

This is a technique created by Cat Bordhi.  You use a cardboard template of your foot.  You cast on at the toe which means you can use your entire 50 gm ball and have no leftovers, no guessing here!  This technique gives you a perfect fitting sock which never slips off of your foot.  The heel on this sock is the easiest ever.  is your interest picqued?

Materials needed:  2 - 50 gram hanks sock yarn, 40 inch -  2.25 mm circular needle,

Personal Footprints book, stitch markers.

Entrelac Scarf Class:
2 sessions $49.00 Sat. Feb. 4th & 11th , 2012

1:00 - 3:30pm
Instructor: Margaret  (Basic knitting-knit and purl knowledge necessary).

This is an intriguing looking scarf.  It looks like a series of triangles and rectangles.

When knit using Noro yarn, your scarf looks like you are a genius! with loads of patience ;-)

Materials needed:  150 grams Noro Kureyon or Silk Garden yarn;  5.0 mm needles, Scarf Style book
