Supplies needed: 2 -
100 gram hanks Louet Gems sport or lt. worsted wt. yarn
All samples shown have
been knit with one main color and 5 contrast colours. The chart will
show you when to change colours. You do not need to knit these in 6
colours, however. Two colours will do nicely! I can see these in black
and white, subtle combinations like blue and grey, or a solid main
color with a self-striping contrast yarn.
This pattern requires light
worsted weight yarn for the outer mitten. You will use approx. 125
yards of MC and 40 yards each of 5 CCs. Count
on using approx. 140 yards of sport wt. for the lining yarn, as
well. Choose a mohair blend yarn for optimal warmth and sturdiness.
NEEDLES: 3.25
(3.5, 3.75) mm, or size needed to get gauge. Pattern may be knit on
double points, a long circular for magic loop, or on 2 circulars.

marker, waste yarn, tapestry needle
